A VBS about VISION
Theme Verse: Genesis 16:13, “You are the God who sees me.”
Theme Song: Jehovah Elroi. (Written by Jeff and Samuel Smith)
SYNOPSIS: It’s a brand, new decade. Welcome to 2020. The year itself speaks to us about this year’s theme for our VBS. When was the last time you had your vision checked? Is it time for an eye exam?
God SEES with PERFECT VISION. He’s always had a plan for your life that includes reigning with HIM in heaven. We’ll be doing eye exams all week to see how much more God sees than we do and what we need to correct our imperfect vision. As the Bible says in Proverbs 19:18, if we could just see with God’s eyes we would never stumble.
This year, we’ll follow the story of Joseph as he travels to Egypt. This is a first for us! We’ve never used one Bible story throughout the week. Each lesson will teach us something more about God’s sight: His foresight, hindsight, insight, oversight, and 20/20 Vision. We’ll LOOK at this oh-so-familiar story with a new set of eyes and see what God wanted to teach Joseph about his “SIGHT” along the way.
