A Note from Karen...

I received an insightful letter from our classmate Karen Bosco about the upcoming 50th reunion.  With her permission, I'm adding it here for your consideration:

So, you got an invitation to the 50th Reunion of BSHS Class of '76. 'No way, I didn't like these people when I went there!' Please reconsider. 

I hated high school. I was weird, didn't fit in, home life was chaotic. Enjoyed college much more. Yet I've attended every five year reunion (thank you, Jeff, Julie and other folks that made it happen- some classes have none). 

Why? First, life beats everyone up in some way; it evens the playing field so no one is top dog forever. Second, kids I never said two words to turned into interesting adults; I've had many enjoyable conversations. And whoever you are as an adult was formed in some way by the experiences and people you encountered at BSHS. So, come, hear some stories, share some fellowship. We get only one ride on this merry-go-round (no longer found in playgrounds today.  Too Dangerous).

(ME) AGREED.  I hope you'll make an effort to join us.  We would sincerely love to see you there.  The information on this page should help you navigate and plan for the weekend.  RSVP and registration are included.

TENTATIVE Weekend Schedule:
Friday, Aug 28th, 7PM-?:  Classmates and Friends Social, The Villa
Saturday, Aug 29th, 10AM-Noon-ish, Bike with Bob
(as in Cunkelman, on the Ghost Town Trail, various distances)
Saturday, Aug 29th, 6PM-10PM?  50th Reunion Dinner
Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort
​Sunday, August 30th, Time and Location TBD,
Worship with the Class of '76  

• This is only a preliminary /tentative schedule and will fill out and be more detailed after the new year.  Keep checking back for updates on weekend activities.

If you would like to host an activity for the weekend...give us a call.  Let's get as many folks involved as possible.  

Our meal will be a create-your-own buffet with the following items on the line.   Several of the items have been specifically selected for vegetarians.  We are not able to accommodate other special dietary restrictions unfortunately, due to restrictions with the venue.  There will be a cash bar and each person is given one drink with the meal.  You can choose beer, wine, or soft drink.  Assorted desserts are included with the buffet.  If you have specific concerns about the meal, please contact Jeff at [email protected].
