I want to start with a hearty and heart-felt THANK YOU for the most wonderful year of VBS!!! Each one of you brought blessings to your church, your children, and ME!!! And I KNOW that you blessed the heart of God. In every way, “Just Lego”, VBS 2023 was a great success because of the investment you made in the lives of others.
I am a firm believer that you have the best chance of advancing the kingdom when you speak into the heart of a child about spiritual matters. We were partners. I like to think you couldn’t have done VBS without me. BUT, I KNOW I couldn’t have done VBS without YOU. I’m so grateful.
Lastly, I think every church has booked for next year, which is a first for me. Maybe, it’s just the first time I’ve tried to think ahead? Information about next year will start coming out in January. I don’t like to do a ‘reveal’ before that unless I am absolutely convinced of the theme. Several of you have mentioned an underwater theme. I love that, but we’ll have to see. The inspiration normally comes to me, I don’t go to it??? It’s hard to explain.
I very much enjoyed working with ALL of you and the wonderful teams you assembled in your churches. Please pass on my appreciation for a job well done. See you in '24!
