The framing device is selected passages of scripture from Jesus standing before Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin to his Resurrection and subsequent appearance to Mary at the garden tomb. The dramatic convention is a POP UP NARRATIVE, a technique that is easily staged WITHIN the congregation so that the script comes alive in the midst of the assembly instead of as a presentation on a stage directed to an audience. The piece can be performed as a staged dramatic reading or memorized and acted out by players in the congregation. No set. No costumes. No props. This is just the drama of the WORD coming to life in the midst of people. Additionally, there are six scripts included with the package for dramatic vignettes (short monologues or responsive readings) that punctuate selected dramatic moments in the story. These pieces include: Nicodemus (M/60+) The Rooster Crows (Sarah, Peter's Wife, F/40+) "Let His Blood Be On Us and On Our Children" (Responsive Reading) Barabbas (M/20+) Mary of Magdala (F/30+) Lazarus (M/40+, Optional) The script also includes recommended selections for movement ministry pieces from our series "Movement 4 Non-Movers".
